APJ Construction Services, LLC was founded in 2012 by Andrea and Mike Jordan, but our story began long before that right here in Tampa, Florida.

Both born and raised in Tampa, Andrea and Mike first crossed paths in middle school in 1989. Life took them in different directions, but years later they reconnected in 2010 and quickly realized their paths were meant to align. They were married in 2011, and just one year later, APJ Construction Services was born.

From the beginning, APJ was built on hard work, integrity, and a shared determination to create something meaningful together.

Mike began his career in construction building custom homes in North Carolina after college before returning to Florida, bringing hands-on field experience, leadership, and craftsmanship to the company. Andrea entered the industry in 2001 through real estate, sinkhole repair, and equipment manufacturing, gaining deep knowledge of construction operations, project coordination, and client relationships.

Together, they combined their strengths in field expertise and operational leadership to grow APJ from a residential construction company into a multi-division contractor serving municipalities, utilities, and government agencies across Florida.

What started as residential renovations and custom homes evolved into specialized services including land clearing, site preparation, vegetation management, excavation, concrete, lift station infrastructure support, and disaster response. Over time, APJ became a trusted partner for county and municipal projects, storm recovery operations, and large-scale cleanup efforts following hurricanes and severe weather events.

As a certified Minority/Woman-Owned Small Business Enterprise, Andrea and Mike are proud to lead a company that values opportunity, accountability, and doing the right thing, even when no one is watching. They believe in showing up, following through, and treating every project, every client, and every employee with respect.

Today, APJ Construction Services is a family-owned and operated business supported by a dedicated team and a fully equipped fleet. We self-perform our work, invest in our people, and take pride in delivering safe, compliant, and dependable results on every job.

Andrea and Mike are guided by strong faith and are deeply grateful for God’s blessings. They believe in giving thanks, operating with integrity, and treating others with respect in both business and life. 

When we’re not on the jobsite, Andrea and Mike enjoy spending time outdoors, traveling in their RV, and relaxing anywhere they can with their two miniature French Bulldog companions, Cujo and Peanut. They are also active in the classic car and truck community, where several of their restored antique vehicles have earned multiple "Best of the Best" awards at regional shows.
